The home of photographer Petra Bindel is a lovely mix of vintage, designer pieces and creative art. I love the subtil way of color use in this interior, like the different greens and light blue. It looks like a very light, friendly and peaceful home. Petra’s work is also a big inspiration by the way Check out her website.

Get inspired by this colorful, free spirit and eclectic home of Trish Bygott, Nathan Crotty and their family in Fremantle, WA.
To be very honest with you, I’m not a real big fan of the all white Scandinavian interiors you see a lot these days. In my opinion It’s so much of the same and often very predictable. I’de like to be surprised and inspired.
But this one caught my eye and I think is worth showing. This home belongs to Photographer and Stylist Line Kay, living in Oslo, Norway. Line keeps her home tidy by storing away unnecessary objects, she only shows the treasures who are really special to her.
Sounds very logical you must think but in my home it doesn’t seem to work that way. I’m a huge collector, I have loads of found treasures (yes, who are all very special to me), porcelain, magazines, books, pottery, vases, candles, you name it, I probably got it. Very nice, but I would like to be my home more like Line’s home, it looks so peaceful and relaxed. So this is my example, for creating a more calm and balanced interior. Less is more, I’ll keep that in mind.
Check out this lovely colorful home of Britt Bass, a young Atlanta-based painter. Only 25 years old and already up and running her own successful business. She already created a big collection of acryl paintings, prints and home ware. Britt’s signatures are bright happy colors and abstract movements. She lives together with her husband in Georgia, where she spends most of the time painting and creating in her home studio.
The home of Swedish stylist Emma Persson Lagerberg is one of those interiors I can totally adore. It’s light, fresh, functional and very much a family home. My favorite part of this lovely home is the mint colored kitchen. Love the mint green in combination with the marble.

I totally adore this perfect styled bedroom by Holly, owner of Avenue lifestyle blog. She created a calm light and peaceful space. I love the stonewashed cotton bed covers and the open open wardrobe. I also like all of the different natural color tones, materials and textures and the art on their wall. It all works together perfectly. Simple but very sophisticated.
Meet Eddie and Richa, owners of this lovely home in Melbourne. I don’t know how, but a lot of items I post seems to be and established in Melbourne. And a lot of them are also created and realized by interior design firm Hecker Guthrie, and again so is this one. I think I’m a bit of a fan.
The couple, transformed their apartment in a personal and comfy space. A very important aspect was to reflect their Indian heritage in their interior. ‘Our original intent with this house was to add colour and make it match out Indian heritage, but Hecker Guthrie took us on a journey of designing for simplicity and elegance, and layering in the detail in subtle ways’ says Eddie. Though they say it was a little confronting to begin with, the pair welcomed the challenge, and are thrilled with the results.

Today’s home inspiration is this amazing old mansion (1881) in the centre of Haarlem (The Netherlands). The owners (Jelle and Marieke) fell in love with all of the old authentic details, the four meter high ceilings and the big conservatory. They didn’t have that much furniture when they bought the house. So they rented a big bus and drove to Paris and Belgium where they bought a lot of vintage second handed furniture and treasures. The result is a big cozy family home… continue reading
